Dave Holland lives to helps people become more like Jesus. It is his mission to Love God and Love People. He has been serving God for almost 50 years. Pastored churches for over 38 years he learned that the church and Jesus are not the same. Jesus is the sole foundation of true Christian living. Dave planted a thriving church in Brockton, Massachusetts starting with just sixteen people and from that church, he mothered seven other congregations in Massachusetts. He also pastored a church in Uxbridge, Massachusetts that grew to near a thousand people in its constituency. While living in New England Dave learned to love Catholics and Christians from many different persuasions. He learned that God has children among every kindred, tongue and tribe.Dave came to faith in Christ as a sixteen-year-old in Los Angeles. He attended Life Pacific College graduating in 1979 and was ordained by the Foursquare Movement in 1981. While pastoring in New England, he received his Master of Arts Degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary graduating Magnum Cum Laude in 1997. He says of his seminary experience, "God spoke to me the first day I attended classes that 'education tends to pride - study hard but don't let it go to your head.'"Dave loves young people and has taught in various colleges. He usually teaches some form of English, Public Speaking or First-Year Seminar. He recently graduated with a Master of Arts degree in English from Grand Canyon University in 2019. Along with his wife, Jonie, Dave has lived in various parts of the country from Southern California - Nebraska - Colorado and now Florida. They love living near the gulf waters and visiting their five kids and fourteen grandkids scattered about the globe. They currently speak in seminars, conferences and churches. While living in New England, Dave discovered that he bleeds Patriot blue and craves any news concerning his beloved Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox - once a New Englander always a New Englander. He also plays guitar, reads, and collects books.Dave studied the Gospel of Luke for over ten years while writing the first book in the 40 Days with Luke and Jesus Series. Christmas Jesus is the first installment, followed by Every Day Jesus which covers the first five chapters of Luke - will be available to order on December 24, 2019.
