In a moonless night, between Klatch and Ankh-Morpork a weathercock is rising from the deep seas. But the problem is, it's not only a weathercock, it is a whole city, which has been under water for a very long time. What will be happening, now that two fishermen have set foot on it? Both of them are claiming the land for themselves, or rather their rulers from Ankh-Morpork and Klatch. There will be a war, there's no doubt about it.
So the ships from both sides are setting sail, and they will be meeting at the new Island in the ocean.
Meanwhile, Commander Vimes of Ankh-Morpork City Watch is facing unpleasant foes, and they are people on his side, not the enemy.

In his 21st Discworld novel, Terry Pratchett gives us a really good laugh, as usual.
