A key figure in the establishment of the schools of pragmatism, functional psychology and radical empiricism, he influenced all manner of thinkers. His many works include The Principles of Psychology, Essays in Radical Empiricism and The Meaning of Truth.


Tadd Ruetenik is Professor of Philosophy at St. Ambrose University. He is author of The Demons of William James: Religious Pragmatism Explores Unusual Mental States.
